Legerdemain

Legerdemain is a so-called roguelike game I worked on for a good chunk of the previous decade. I created a little company and a website to promote it at http://roguelikefiction.com.

Legerdemain represents, among other things, my artistic attempt to fuse some of my favorite computer role-playing game influences with a big surreal fantasy story. It has a branching plot, over a hundred NPCs with their own conversation trees, and lots of other nifty things with arboreal metaphors that could be used to describe them.

It was also my first major attempt at creating a full-length work of fiction.

The game is free to download, so you can judge for yourself whether it succeeds or not. There's a paid version that comes with a cluebook, map, and the game on a CD (available here: http://roguelikefiction.com/?page_id=65). Lots of kind folks have plunked down their hard earned cash for that version, and I salute them for it.

I've recently embarked on my second attempt at creating a full-length work, and that too has derailed from traditional novel-based lands into something weirder. I am hoping it won't take up a good chunk of our current decade, but stranger things have (already) happened.
